an addon failed to load (adobe flash)

Hi, just reinstalled avast! firefox 8.1 works great but many sites, 3d guru for one fails to start
adobe flash on ie9 only, i get a pop up stating, “an addon failed to load” if I disable all shields manually it still does it, if I disable all it works fine?
re installed adobe, rest ie9 still doing it
any ideas?

turning off windows firewall seems to have fixed it
