an always on connection?

This is what i was reading on the Avast website,about a always on connection and i have a always on connection:::
If your computer has a permanent connection to the Internet, you can let avast! know this fact so that it can bypass the connection checks. To do so, follow these steps:

In Notepad, open the file AVAST4.INI
(C:\PROGRAM FILES\ALWIL SOFTWARE\AVAST4\DATA)
Find the section [InetWD]. If this section doesn´t exist, create it.
Into this section insert this row:
AssumeAlwaysConnected=1

should I do this? or can i change it on the avast programs page?, I tried to open my notebook and do this with no success of finding anything.

If you shoudl do it is up to you.

Please make you avatar a bit smaller. (Board policy)

This setting is equivalent to the checkbox on Update (Connections) page in program settings.

As Igor said, this could be changed by avast! settings (window).
If you want more about avast4.ini file, see here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1647 on section [InetWD].

Thanks for the info, and sorry for the avatar, I did not realize it was like that! my first picture
