An error in log viewer

was just goin thru the log files
got this error

Could you tell me under which category these entries were listed?
I do not have anything close in any of the systems in which I have Avast.

Do you have Boota CD installed??? It is the only program I know by that name (It is a system backup utility).
If so, then Avast is not scanning it. We can work on that if this is the case.

Actually *BOOTA stands for ‘boot sector of floppy A:’, so these messages mean that on the Christmas Day, avast’s on-access scanner (the Standard Shield) was not able to scan a boot sector of a disk in the A: drive.

This could mean a lot a things, but such message would be logged e.g. if the floppy was unreadable (wasn’t formated etc.). I’ll try to check the exact error codes for you…

In any case, I wouldn’t really worry about this. :wink:

i did flash the bios on christmas day
i had a corrupt floppy which was unreadable.
