an important notifying for all users of AVAST

hi every one

when i start my windows in order to search in the internet i take more than 6 hours of working

And when i finish my work i sense something weird in my AVAST so i tried to test it's security and i discoverd something that there was a big problem

first thing my AVAST real time protection is in frozen mode (( that doesn't mean can't scan )) i mean it can scan but it can't act

second thing if you tried to scan any file the Quick scan message will appear but it will say to you prepare for scan AND

((( >:( >:( >:( AND IT WILL STOP TO THAT POINT WITHOUT ANY SCAN >:( >:( >:( )))

SO I tried to restart my computer and every thing it return back to normal

                   :-\ :-\ :) SO BE CAUTION :) :-\ :-\

This has happened to you. It has not happened to me.
Something is wrong with your computer or your Avast installation for this to happen.
Can you provide more information, please.
(OS, RAM/CPU, Other security programs installed, and what do you mean when you say “Avast can scan but it can not act”?)

i have :

1 - Windows XP (( modified ))
2 - 640 MB RAM / PUM 4 2.00 GHz
3 - i have installed system protection (( from Spyware Terminator program company )) and
windows defender
4 - i mean by (( It can scan but it can’t act )) that is AVAST can scan any file in real time
protection but when it find any virus it can’t act and it will not do any thing

I agree with Tarq57…

1 - Windows XP (( modified ))
((modified))??
3 - i have installed system protection
Do you mean SystemProtect? That could definitely be your problem. This application prevents files from being modified, and is barely supported. I had a great deal of trouble with it. Totally prevented some MS updates from installing correctly. I strongly recommend you remove it.

640Mb of RAM is marginal these days. You should expect things to go fairly slow, and maybe to appear to “freeze” for a time if there are several applications open.

will thank you for help Mr/Tarq57

You’re welcome, and let us know how you get on.
