hey i have come across a virus that avast cannot remove and it has changed every folder on my external hard drive in to a shortcut that opens up in “cmd(C:\windows\system32)” ??? and every folder on this external is the exactly the same but have different names could i please get a solution to this problem :-\

To avoid using multiple post with copy and paste you have to attach the log`s
Lower left corner: Additional Options > Attach ( malwarebytes log / OTS log ) save OTS log as ANSI

that would help but the problem is that neither AVAST nor Malwarebytes could NOT find this virus and this has jeopardized my work and i have been told by many computer technicians that this is a virus that creates a back door and i need it fix because command prompt has been disabled and i am no allowed to enable it to get the work off and if i send it, it wont pick up the virus i have tried already and so far i cannot find a solution and i cannot get AVAST or Malwarebytes to make a log

That is why you should run OTS and post the log
