I recently lost the last 6 months or so of pictures and videos that I can normally access through gallery on my home screen. I frequently move pics and videos to my sd card because my 2nd generation Moto G only has 8 gb of system memory. I did recently do a clean junk and boost ram which I have never done before and thought maybe one of those programs might have deleted those files anyone know anything about this???
FYI… I restarted phone, unmounted, remounted SD card, tried putting SD card in desktop no help.
Is there an option to undo clean junk and or boost ram to see if the lost files reappear?
Three days ago, the 64GB Sandisk MicroSD card evidently went bad in my Samsung S5 (2.5 years old). My wife has the same phone, MicroSD and no problems. Even Windows doesn’t recognize that the card is inserted on two laptops, so it’s really dead. I hope that isn’t your situation.
Hi, if they disappeared from the external SD card, it will most probably be the SD card’s error. Our features (cleaner or RAM boost) do not clean anything from external memory.
I recently did the same thing erased my music, my pics, my videos, everything. And I wasn’t able to get to a computer. So it took e a couple of days but I was able to recover most of of it. And I just so happen to stumble on to it. I have the ES file manager/ explorer pro, I love that file manager!! I’ve had it for yes, I have the apk on my chip and every device I have it on. Not the free one but the pro one. U can download free on mobile1 downloaded. Anyways I was sifting threw all my files and stuff and if u have the time and patience u can find them. Look in the android data or the hidden files, the caches, and when u do find them they are not going to be labeled as pics, or music. It’s gonna be letters and numbers and it’ll have a lil white paper looking g icon next to it and u will have to open it either music , image, or video. That’s why I say if I have the patience cause it’s gonna take long and u will prop have to rename stuff. But I hope this helps, good luck
