Android phone twice in portal

Hi,
I just added my Huawei Phone to Avast.
Now on portal I have two entries of my phone.

  • one with antivirus green and antitheft grey
  • one with antitheft green and antivirus grey
    both entries have the same IMEI number.
    I logged in on antivirus and antitheft with my account id (same)
    How is this possible.

Known bug, the devs are working on it.

Went to me too. But I guess that’s because the new version of antivirus, installed but not recognized by myavast. Turns grey instead of green and doesn’t work as it should. Sometimes you track and make records, sometimes don’t. Uninstall and install didn’t solve the problem and the device now is twice displayed there. Waiting for the solution and also by the non-actualisation of the Rewards Score. 4 weeks since the last points attribution .

Same issue here with new Galaxy Core Plus Duos.
Annoying but can live with it for short time before avast fix comes out or change to other app that works like it should.

Also, Mobile Security device in account > settings doe NOT save phone number.
Are others having same problem?

I have this issue and more… All my Android devices have both installed.

Some devices are shown twice; once for AV plus once for anti-theft… Some devices are shown with only one or the other installed in spite of having both… Some devices show both installed…

The double listing has to do with a change in a API in Android 6.x
avast is working on it.

To explain it really simple (not exactly accurate).
There are two entirely different things and avast has to make it so it looks like they are the exact same.
Something like taking a truck and a race-car and make it look like it is a bike ;D
Not easy to do.

Then why is it happening with devices that don’t run Android 6? The device I’m using right now is on 5.0.2

Because the latest AMS is using a different API.

As I said, avast is already working on a solution.

Can it be that this simple issue is so hard for a big software company like avast to work on?

Too my knowledge the problem has been solved over a month ago.
