Annoying pop-up trying to make me update or upgrade

Since 1 or 2 days this thing is popping up, how can I turn it off?

The program wants that I “confirm” the desired level of protection, but it looks like the update notification and a don’t want to update (using Avast Free AV v12.3.2280)

I already had done this, so that’s not the solution.
AvastUI > Settings > General > Status Monitoring - uncheck the Program version

Latest 12.x version is 12.3.2279
If you are not using a business version, first to do is performing a clean installation with the latest version.

As has been explained really a lot of times, you can disable the pop-ups in the paid versions.

I know about the normal pop-ups that disappear after 20 seconds for example, but I don’t mean that.

It is a sort of “forced-update” pop-up, it tries to make me update or upgrade and doesn’t disappear, only when I click on the X.

I don’t want the latest version as I know it has a lot of bugs.

One moment or another, you need to update to the latest version.
Like it or not, but there will come a moment that a “pushed update” will take place.

You installed avast to help protect your system against malware.
Using a old(er) version increases the risk of a infection a lot.
Either you protect your system in the best way possible or don’t do it at all.

using a old(er) versions is like putting a lock on your front door while keeping your windows and back-door open.
