Just got a BSOD when selecting a .flac file:
system_service_exception
aswsnx.sys
Do I need to send Avast the .dmp files?

What version of avast are you using latest is 6.0.1289 (latest beta is 6.0.1352) ?
What operating system are you using ?
The beta includes - Stability improvements in aswSP.sys and the avast! sandbox
So I don’t know if that might well resolve the issue you are having. If you aren’t averse to trying a beta build, it might be worth a try (currently I find the beta build very stable).
More info on the beta release and where to download from - see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=88272.0.
Avast version 6.0.1289.
OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1.
OK, do you happen to be using any other security based applications that would also be using sandboxing ?
If you aren’t, I would try the beta build for the overall improvements and see if that resolved the problem, assuming you are happy using a beta build.
I am not using any other security based applications.
When will the beta version be officially released?
There is no time frame on the beta it is a when it is ready it will be released, there has just been a problem with the latest beta refresh (6.0.1354, though I have no problem with it on the free version of it).
So when problems are resolved as reported in the beta trial then and only then can it be released and you can’t put a time frame on that.
mville, please send me the latest minidump (kurtin@avast.com), thanks
