Another SVChost.exe thread!

Unfortunately, it still boots to a black screen. I can move my mouse cursor around but nothing else. =c

I have not been receiving help from anyone else… I just tried a lot of things before asking for help. I kind of hate to post for help when it comes to computers, preferring to research it and fix it myself. This is beyond me though, alas…

Unfortunately, it still boots to a black screen. I can move my mouse cursor around but nothing else. =c

Are you able to access in safe mode with network? If you are, then delete ComboFix.exe icon (drag&drop into recycle bin) and download fresh copy.

Try to run ComboFix from safe mode with network. If CF ask for reboot, load again in safe mode with network. CF shall continue there to finish his scan.

After that, reboot again and try to load in normal mode.

If you fail to run CF, re-run FRST from RE and post me fresh FRST.txt log created in RE.

=/

Run this FixList, it should enable you to boot again into your system.
As before, FixList need to be saved next to FRST or tool should not be able to find it …

Run FRST in RE again, click Fix and post log here. Try to boot into normal mode now.

I am having the same problem as Ruimy and was wondering if i could get similar help. Following your initial instructions I have already gotten the FRST.txt and Search.txt files. I was wondering if someone could help and suggest the next step…

Open new thread in virus and worms section and I shall look at your logs.

Hello, I am new to the forums, and thought I could provide a minor bit of assistance with those unable to boot to windows.

Despite the fact that it will give the black screen, then the BSOD, it is possible to boot into windows if you use the boot using last known good configuration from the Windows Startup menu.

Appreciate you looking into this, Magna! I’ll continue to follow the thread.
