I guess u guys can add me to the list of URL:Mal infections… I have tried everything, even scaning in safe mode with no luck… I would be forever grateful for your help.
Attach your basic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR…!!)

OK, now you’ve to wait a bit…
I noticed I didn’t check the rootkit in the MBam scan so I rescanned it and its here,… and please take your time as I know your time is valuable and thank u again for your speedy response.
Could you let me know if this stops it

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that
THEN
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
now Avast wont let me run the FRST.exe saying its not a win32 application and what did u mean by saving the fixlist in the same spot as the Frst.exe file?..does that mean u want me to save fixlist in with the Frst.exe log that was generated the first time I ran it or will it use the fixlist if I save it right at the desktop?
ok… I figured out where to put the fix file at so please ignore that part of my last post but Avast still wont let me run the frst.exe.
Right click the Avast icon and disable the shields for 10 minutes then run FRST
ok… I was able to run Frst.exe and it generated a fix log but…frst.exe is still running and I wasn’t sure if I should stop it…also along with Avast I have F-secure antivirus ware on my PC and both of them were screaming at me that the Frst.exe is a unreliable source and may damage my PC ,I just wondered what your thoughts were on it. I didn’t run the adwarecleaner yet and was wondering what I should do next.
ok… sorry about the confusion earlier I think I have it figured out, thank u for your patience, after I ran the Adwcleaner it closed the frst.exe when it restarted my PC and here is that log. and again, thank u for your patience and the confusion from earlier.
also along with Avast I have F-secure antivirus ware on my PCThere can only be one http://blog.kaspersky.com/multiple-antivirus-programs-bad-idea/

ok… I can accept that answer.so far everything seems back to normal, no more Avast pop-ups for that URL:Mal intrusion. I use 2 virus protections because I cant afford the premium Avast and it catches things that the F-secure doesn’t and the F-secure is free from my ISP. I would love to have the full version of Avast, like the grime cleaner and firewall but its just to expensive for the whole package. Thank you very much for all your help and please let me know if I should do anything else to make sure the URL:Mal doesn’t come back or u have any other suggestions.
Very basically Avast free is the same as the more expensive versions with regards to protection and in most instances windows firewall is sufficient
When you are happy let me know and I will tidy up
so your telling me that Windows firewall is an acceptable alternative to the F-secure firewall?(which really doesn’t seem to catch much of anything anyway). so what about the realtime scanning that F-secure provides?..I wasn’t sure Avast free version provided that? and up to this point there hasn’t been any conflicts with the 2 of them. If u feel its a good idea to uninstall F-secure and continue to use the Avast free version and use the windows firewall instead of the F-secure then I would be ok with that so we can tidy up.
For sure as Avast has the webshield which is the first line of defence, as it scans webpages whilst they are being downloaded to your computer. The fileshield checks all files as they are opened and executed. Full details here http://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB89#idt_01
Subject to no further problems
I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:
Click Start then Run.
On Windows7 or Vista you may use Start Search field if Run is not available.
In the box copy/paste the following command:
ComboFix /Uninstall
Note that there is a space between " ComboFix " and " /Uninstall " .
Then click OK (or press Enter ).
Wait for the uninstall process to complete.
Download and run Delfix

: Keep Java Updated :
WARNING: Java is the #1 exploited program at this time. The Department of Homeland Security recommends that computer users disable Java
See this article
I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)
Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:
CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean
It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

well… I followed your instructions with the exception of the crypto prevent because Avast wouldn’t allow it to install, any suggestions?..I noticed that when we cleaned up my F-secure is missing from my taskbar and I was going to follow your suggestions and uninstall F-secure and use the Windows firewall (as u suggested)but I was unable to find F-secure in the control panel, was that your intention? and now for the bad news… seems URL:Mal Is back while I was downloading the crypto prevent it popped up 2 times only with a diff object and process…so I guess its back to the drawing board with regards to that. any suggestions?
on a side note I was going to set up Mbam`s automatic scheduler any suggestions on the frequency of that? or how many times I should scan with Mbam? and will it conflict with Avast?
please disregard my post with the mention of F-secure missing… after restarting my PC it showed up so now I have disabled it and, as per your suggestion, I am currently using Avast and Windows firewall. No further URL:Mal pop-ups have occurred since the 2 I informed u of when I was trying to install Crypto Prevent(which I still haven’t installed because Avast thinks its malicious)…any other suggestions are greatly appreciated although I know u are busy assisting other people in the forums I will await your assistance.
