Answers depends on credit balance of SIM card?

Hi guys!

First of all, have a happy new year, and thanks for this amazing app.

I`m using AT at two phones SAMSUNG Galaxy SII GT-I9100 / ROM: Gingerbread 2.3.4.

I`ve tested almost all sms comands on both phones, everyone working fine (really fine! thanks).

But when i tested with a SIM card with no credit, the phone tested received the wrong message:

error:

“sender: zhz3xd
message: At this moment, it was not possible to send sms. Please try again later. (translated from portuguese)”

So, it`s really necessary that the stolen phone has a SIM card with credit or a WIFI to be capable to send any information, like the location?

Thanks.

Hi,

it needs to have some kind of a connection to the outside world, yes. Imagine you would disconnect your office computer from the Internet, than it wouldn’t be that surprising that you can’t reach it from your home, would it?

Actually the antitheft part is capable to provide some informations concerned to on-line services via WiFi and when the portal will be available, you can just do so, but the phone needs to have any contact with around world. There is no connection, there is no information
