From the description, this only works through IE6 so if you’re using IE7 beta,
don’t install it ???
One interesting thread in wilders:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=143853
Got me to install SnoopFree.
Nice software and free, file size 342.07K . But Snoopfree Privacy Shield works only on Windows XP os …
What do you think about this software
Returnil Virtual System Home 2006 It clones a “copy” of your OS, this is a part of the Publisher informations:
“The Returnil Virtual System makes your Windows system impervious to virus attack, to spyware tracking and it automatically sanitizes all Web activities and surfing history. This is a powerful technology that clones a “copy” of your Windows system in one second. If the System Partition Protection is on, all of the change in the system partition will be lost after reboot. It deals with any unknown and future virus…”
The idea looks great but i also found some negative thinking considering this software like problems with installing new programs and uninstalling of the Returnil Virtual System…
Requirements Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista
File size 7.06MB , it costs about $20, and you can try it for free for 15 days

Hehe, Snowhite, we did not interrupt him any, it is still his thread and interested of course to hear user experience to that program.
The file size is of course something to consider if a really slow internet connection.
Though I think more important is memory usage like SnoopFree’s.
From wilders my post regarding it:
I installed SnoopFree a few days ago. It seerms to download no databases and it is thus a behavioural program, like PF free, both HIPS. So I am totally happy with both of them and they don't seem to conflict any. Infact I see no overlap in features.Only downside I noticed is the memory consumption:
SnoopFreeSvc.exe 1436 kB
SnoopFreeUI.exe 3149 kB
PG free consumes about 6 MB (PG systray icon can be exited)So it is not bad at all though for added HIPS features that PG free does not have.
They add nice program control to my light kerio 2.1.5 firewall.I confirm also that no email or any kind of registration was needed, but in help file there is a mention, so maybe it was needed in older versions.
PS
As already told, one should stick to postings in security sites like this and not put much trust if any to “user reviews” in cnet, download.com etc. I too read about that first “review” causing post by angus49 from cnet or like that caused these further posts before installing SnoopFree, but I knew almost sure then it was bullshit and bad uninstall. After I had got it running, I noticed that the guy should have maybe uninstalled first SnoopFree program listing protection for those ones put active, before uninstall. If even that necessary.

Darn, I see I am now Avast evangelist, and I belong to lutheran evangelist church, but always thought antivirus has no connection to religion, so I find it a bit funny
Darn, I see I am now Avast evangelist, and I belong to lutheran evangelist churchHi Jarmo P, Don't feel bad, I'm sure there are Evangelist's from all faith on this forum. I'm sure we even have quite a few evangelist's from the atheist "religion".
Hi Bob3160,
Well faith, oh well, those are things one hopes for, and the things one trusts to be so. That faith I cannot give you, but the flesh of avast is better than the bones of many other programs,
Faithfully yours, God bless ye,

on my system PG eats less than 3 MB sometimes less than 2
