anti-spam behavior

after changing my proxy settings from “auto-detect (Internet Explorer)” to “direct connection” (yeah that was possible with UAC off only ;D ), noticing in the settings it was also mentioned that the anti-spam module wasn’t compatible with “auto-detect - Internet Explorer” proxy (but that’s not the reason why I changed that), so after changing that, although mails used to be scanned anyway with the default settings, they are now with the new settings as well, but at the same time many are shown as spam…in avast UI only. Nothing appears in the mail client, no spam message in the subject line as checked in the settings panel.
No need to mention that those mails are no spam at all and I’m gonna have to start populating the white list ;D … on the other hand that won’t make much difference as like I mentioned already, if you don’t run Outlook, spam mails detected by avast aren’t moved to any junk folder… ::slight_smile:

edit: my bad the world spam is indeed mentioned in the subject line

just to add: if I get FPs on a regular basis with the antispam, and must populate the white list, this list might get long. I think it’s time to imagine how useful a backup feature for all AIS settings could be
