Anti spam filter doesn't start almost each time i start windows.

This happening too frequently now.

Almost (not always) after upgrading to Avast Internet Security 2014, AVAST 2014 R3 SP1 (9.0.2018) i have this warning:

i can reactivate it but after rebooting the same thing again and again and again and again…

Of course before installing this new version i uninstalled the other using the avast uninstaller, so this was a brand new clean install with that bug included.
I’m using Windows 7 64 bits.

BTW version 2016 worked flawlessly for me.

Have you tried to using avast repair option? Found in ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall change

It sometimes occurs me to reboot the pc also, but to give to activate it tends to operate

yes i did it once a few days ago…

Today i haven’t had issues maybe they fixed it.

And again today… >:(

Well … you have Gmail and they have the best spamfilter. They use postini spam/virus filter with two AV engines from Authentium and McAfee

One thing… do you use a mail client to fetch mail from your Gmail account? … if you use webmail then avast spamfilter have no function

The days when a person only used 1 email account are gone IMO.

Things were working pretty good for me with built 2006 so i hope they fix this issue soon.

And again today Avast. First boot all fine, second one warning again.

and again…

and again…

and once more time…

Fix this please! it is as annoying las me posting each time it happens!

From your comments, it doesn’t look like you’ve run a clean install:

. Download Avastclear, Rejzors uninstall tool and the appropriate Avast program edition

Note: It’s important you used the stub online installer from the one I linked… NOT the offline one.

Note: You need to be ONLINE during this install (online installer works in all cases whereas offline sometimes doesn’t)

Avastclear : http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe
Rejzors Uninstall tool: http://rejzor.wordpress.com/avast-cleanup-tool/

  1. Uninstall Avast by control panel [If you don’t have Avast in control Panel go to #4]
  2. Uninstall in safe mode using Avastclear.
  3. Run Rejzors Uninstall Utility in Normal Mode (removes traces avastclear doesn’t) - reboot.
Check : Once uninstalled check in device manager>view>show hidden devices if there is anything related to avast with a yellow triangle… if so, uninstall it and reboot.
  4. Install the version you downloaded.
  5. Reboot.

Note : If you have a paid license, install it after the reboot at stage 6.

@Alikhan Read yes i performed a clean install as i stated in my first post. However i didn’t use your method (online installer) and Rejzors tool which i’m not sure it can be trusted…That rejzors tool could easily contain malware…i’m not running it.

Avast this issue is still happening, sporadically but still happening, hope you fix it in next release…
