Anti-Theft App still visible after Stealth Mode enabled!

Hi,

Anti-theft is still visible under settings/apps after enabling it (and) stealth mode - and restarting

HTC One XL
Android 4.0.4
avast! Anti-theft version 2.0.2627

It was working fine on my previous phone (HTC desire HD)
I was never asked to designate a name for the fasle App on my current phone

Im fairly certain it hasnt been working since i upgraded phones, it is only the latest update that has brought the problem to my attention

note: new update has found HTC’s stock messenger app is an ‘incompatible sms tool’

What version of Sense does your device using?

Htc sense version 4.1

Uninstall and reinstall. Is your device rooted? Stealth only works on rooted device

you’ll have to choose a custom name. try to reinstall anti-theft there is an option to choose the name.

A reinstall fixed the ‘stealth’ feature
I’m not sure how the problem arose in the first place.

Htc’s stock message app is still ‘incompatible’ (post latestest anti-theft update)
I’ll leave it for the time being, and keep an eye out for updates or new threads concerning this.

Thanks

some sms tools (handcent, gosms and stock messaging apps) have little to no effect on the commands. im currently testing them all, and so far have found no issues even though the AT states otherwise

we know 100% that handcent and gosms cause trouble. in past time stock messenger apps have not been modified in SMS reception priority.
we are always happy to get info about - if proved - working stock apps to include as an exception into our code - for this we just need the package name of the app. send this to holzner (at) avast.com.

Hi,
I have a question: In Running Services tab, I see processes of AMS does not contain antitheft process. And in Installed tab, I still see Antitheft (but under a random name).
Is my AntiTheft working fine ???

yes its fine. anti-theft only runs when necessary.

Thanks
