anti-theft fails to send sms and add avast account

My avast anti-theft recently stopped sending SMS messages with my location. I even upgraded to the latest version of the software to no avail.
Once the locate command is issued i see the gps icon blinking and wifi connection active (showing it’s retrieving my location), however no SMS is sent back to me.
Other SMS commands are always successful, including those involving fetching information and sending back in an SMS (e.g. [password] get 10 sms).
Background info: I’m on an LG 530f with root installed avast.

Any clues?

Another issue: when I try to add an avast account in my cellphone it returns an error message.

Only when I use avasts anti theft own’s interface for SMS communications am I getting a response from the commands.
Whats wrong??

well if it was working before then they broke it in the latest update. myself i have never used avast due to it was problematic a few years back when i attempted to try it. at least now its somewhat working excluding the sms locate function.
