Anti Theft Installed on Android 4.4.4 Alcatel (not rooted) -- Stolen Scenario

Hi,

I have installed Avast Premium & also have Anti-theft installed on a not rooted Android Phone. I do have the SMS Friend enabled on SIM Change. My Question is if my phone is stolen & the thief immediately restarts phone & goes into command prompt and triggers to factory settings. Will the phone still send the SMS on new SIM insertion on restart? Or will Avast allow a factory reset ?

Any program (at the moment) allow factory reset.
All the manufactures are being push a solution. Google will start a (kind of) kill switch (asking for a password before factory reset) with next version of Android Lollipop.
