Anti-Theft Locate does not work

Have installed the current Anti-Theft from Play Store on 2 devices:
SG-901F SG5
SG-920F SG6
both with MM 6.0.1

All the comands from web portal work (e.g. siren, photo), except locate/track.
Phones report location only if location services have been turned on manually, and even then - only to portal and not to device which requested location by remote sms command.

I remember that in previous versions there was an option “Force location services on”, but now the app not only cannot force anything, but even cannot turn location service on at all. Shame that rooted and concealed app version got dropped.

Please advise.

It is a ongoing known problem that avast still hasn’t been able to solve.
