Anti-Theft receives SMS and performs action, but doesn't reply!

Hi there,

so far I have been very satisfied with the Anti-Theft app and it has always worked with different custom ROMs on my HTC Wildfire.

But I recently installed a new custom ROM (SplashMOD v1.6) and I have a strange problem with Anti-Theft:

I send a SMS to the device, for example “1234 locate”. After that, I can see that Anti-Theft enables GPS and performs the desired action, but it never sends a SMS back with the coordinates!
Same with the call command. I send “1234 call”. On other ROMs I always received a SMS saying “der Anruf wird durchgeführt” (“call is being processed”). But with the new ROM I don’t receive that SMS, but I receive the call!

Somehow, everything works fine except that Anti-Theft does not send any text messages.

I tried to check the logcat when the device receives an AntiTheft command, but couln’t see any errors. I can attach the log if it helps.

Anti Theft is working again, the problem was on my side!
Somehow, I didn’t receive any text messages from yesterday morning till this afternoon.
All Anti Theft text messages (about 25 because I tried it so often) arrived a couple of hours ago suddenly on my phone.

Anti Theft is innocent, I think it was a problem on my provider’s side.

I have a problem where it sends to many texts lol.

chewed through 1500 texts in a number of days whilst testing. Mainly because there are SMS prompts for everything…

dada starting (waste of Text)
blah
blah
dada stoping (waste of text)

much prefer a way of turning off notifications (in my case) and only receive relevant information ; in/out sms , calls location etc.

atm the ratio of TEXT SMS MESSAGES is about 1:3 , for every cmd I send I get 2 notifications ($0.20 worth) and 1 DATA Package (Actual info)

things like last 10-20 SMS Mesages need to be sent via Email imo.

or perhaps even combine the maximum number of Characters into 1-2 SMS messages like so;

A: Hi
B: Hello
A: What you doing?
B: NM

now typically we would receive 6 SMS Messages for the Query.

how about just one 160 Char message like;

SINGLE-SMS: Avast anti-theft;A:Hi;B:Hello;A:What you doing?;B:NM

or something…

Hello, when i send conf sms to my phone “password SET FORCEDATAMODE 1” , my mobile doesnt turn a data transfer. Can somebody help ? Its very importent for me.

The sforcedatamode is just changing the protection behavior setting. The settings applies only whenever an untrusted SIM is present in the phone OR you send the LOST command to the phone.
