Hi there. Before i can explain the glitch, i will put up a scenario.
First of all. I don’t have a password protection on my phone. That’s because i don’t want the thief to install a new ROM etc. Most thief don’t install a new ROM, if the device is not password protected. This gives me a better chance of finding a stolen phone. (Also i don’t have “siren” or “program manger denied” feauture on, i basically won’t anti theft to be completely invisible, and unnoticeable)
However. if my Avast email is “test@gmail.com” and my mobile email is ALSO “test@gmail.com”, then when i use any commands on the Avast Website, the thief will also recieve the email, and will know somethings wrong.
Can you add a single command feature to remove my mail accounts from my phone if it gets stolen.
Yes that’s a shortcoming I already talked about. If your phone gets stolen you can still immediately change the password of your gmail account but except if you’re lightning fast the stealer would still see the sim change notification email.
You can either use a separate email or set up a filter in gmail to bypass the inbox (which makes the emails much harder to discover).
This is not the only shortcoming of AT, unfortunatly ease of use goes above security. Just look at the forum, AT is already too hard to use for many people because they don’t take the time to read anything.
