I have Mobile security and anti-theft installed on my android phone. Anti-theft installed version is 2.0.2627.
Just recently I keep getting notifications to upgrade anti-theft. The terminology used if I select this (and enter my pin) has confused me as to whether it is and upgrade (to paid/pro version) or an update to the product I already have.
I checked on the Play Store and Mobile Security is up to date, but Anti-Theft is not listed…
Further confusing is that it tells me there are issues that need to be resolved before continuing, one of which is that I must enable installs from un-trusted sources, when the currently installed version just told me that this was no longer needed and should be disabled!
Which is it?!
Is this even an actual avast update or is it masquerading malware?
