Antispam for Exchange not going to Junk.

I have installed Antispam for Exchange on our SBS 2011 with Exchange 2010.

The antispam is correctly identifying SPAM, correctly marking the subject with *** SPAM *** and sending to client.
However, the message is delivered to the inbox, not the junk folder. I have the option set to deliver SPAM to junk.

I can select the option to delete spam, and that works fine. Just can’t get it to go to the Junk folder on the clients.

Thanks,
Paul

I am having the same problem. The application marks it as desired, but will not send it to the designated folder. Have you ever figure out a solution yet?

I have not. The SPAM Identification appears to be quite accurate. Just wish it went somewhere other than the inbox.

Do you have the AntiSPAM shield installed on the clients? It is the Outlook add-in which moves the emails into the Junk E-Mail folder.

Yes, I do. But that only works when outlook is running. When outlook is not running they just get dumped in the inbox. So, when a user opens outlook in the morning, there are a lot of *** SPAM *** messages in the inbox. Most SPAM comes in the middle of the night. Am I missing something?

The outlook add-in is not moving the emails to the junk folder.

What is the purpose of the anitspam filter for exchange if we still have to filter through all the spam?

Avast Tech Support informed me that the Exchange AntiSpam filter does not separate out SPAM messages. It only flags them with *** SPAM ***
Not the answer I was looking for, but I just got Exchange to set SCL to 5 for all messages that had *** SPAM *** in the subject. Then they went to the Junk folder.

pfarmer2, could you please tell us what command you ran to assign a specific SCL value to a subject phrase?

Thanks
