Any advantage to buying CD version of Avast Pro?

Hello:

I’m wondering if there is reason to order the CD version of Avast Pro 4?

Assuming one pays Avast for the 2 year contract time frame, then wipes his HD once a year for general maintenance, is the CD version needed to reinstall at no charge, or would one be able to download Avast Pro 4 a 2nd time without incurring any extra charges?

No reason that I know of :slight_smile: Could be for backup if you don’t have access to the Internet.

If you want to reinstall the software you can just download it from www.avast.com

I’m assuming you mean one could just re-download, with no charge. IN other words, if one pays for a two year time frame, then he can download the software as needed, for the entire two year period, with no extra charges.

Is that correct?

I just don’t see that posted on Avast’s site.

Yes, just download, there is no extra charge. Just download and be happy :slight_smile: , and when you installed the software, just write your license key in the program.
