I’d say that a software able to detect ALL infections does not exist .
Avast will detect some infections that other antiviruses will miss 
If you don’t like avast , you are free to purchase a commercial and famous AV ( Norton , kaspersky… )for 70€ ( does the price mean quality ?). But the difference with avast will be very little.

Well the user should have posted the url avast missed and not the one it picked it up.
The user would help better if it send the sample to virus (at) avast (dot) com and help improve detection.

People talking bad reports about Avast don’t really know its capabilities. I agree that we are very quick to judge a certain product only by name or price. I wish Avast was a bit less expensive but it is great and worth the money. I wished Norton ,Trend, McAfee were a lot more user friendly , and so on but they never gave me the feeling of protection Avast does.By the way i wished Avast had a store in Albania where people who can not have a credit card would by it but anyway overall Avast is really great. I bought Trend M for 54 doll and got infected after a month or something. Installed Avast and it found and cleaned the virus. And not only once did this thing happened . Avast does its job and far more then expected.No lags , fast and very friendly ,simple for most normal users. That’s it
