My online bank recommends that I install Trusteer Rapport, to provide additional security.
I am aware that generally it is not advisable to mix and match security products between providers, due to conflicts arising.
I am currently running Avast Premier.
Would installing Trusteer Repport (a) degrade my performance or (b) otherwise cause conflicts?

From IBM (they create Trusteer)

Trusteer Rapport doesn't replace your Personal Internet Banking security details or other protection such as anti-virus software. It works with them to add extra security.
