Tried numerous times to request a refund on 30 days trial period, no luck so far . Because there is no chat available or email address to write to a called the UK phone support number. I spoke 3 times to 3 different girls with questionable English language. Obvious outsourced call center - Far East, third world …?? They all go very slow thru extensive questioning and verification- personal data, account, ID & subscription date, etc. About 15 minutes lost time, then each one is issuing case number for this conversation and last thing they do is “attempt” to transfer the call to an agent. And that’s it! The call end with no signal abruptly. Company with no support (online or else), no email or postal address, no company phone lines … pure scam, 100% proven and verified. Shame on you Avast!
Agree 1000% Somehow I ended up with a few various Avast programs, some I didn’t know I had to do the downloading of them which I haven’t done. One just renewed automatically when I tried to cancel it and thought I did. Another will renew shortly & I’m trying to get a refund without calling their chatline to try to convince me otherwise. I want to cancel all Avast programs but their confusing website looks simple but if you do find the right area they make you follow a list of procedures and then it doesn’t work after wasting so much time. Just typing this message was hard and thru a 6th edit it finally allowed me to type. Get it together Avast. I had hopes you were a great company with a great product but you are letting down what could be loyal customers with the poorest of customer service. No one wants to feel ripped off but it’s happening with your poor business practices. It makes me wonder if your product is a scam also.
I’m having the same problem. I don’t know how I ended up with so many subscriptions, and I had no idea what I had to do with them (senior brain, maybe). Because of age/health issues I tried to unsubscribe from all of them but I keep getting billed for them. I find their website extremely confusing, but this morning I managed to find an online chat. The lady told me she’d wait while I found order numbers, but then ended the chat and I couldn’t find it again. They don’t seem to have any trouble finding my details when it comes to billing me, but the help is non-existent when it comes to us trying to end my relationship with them. So far I’ve spent hours trying to sort this out, with no result.
