My PC had some slow behavior on Saturday, and the double click function for desktop icons stopped working. Windows 10 had rolled out some updates, so I went back to an earlier restore point and reinstalled the updates. No issues with this, but when I had restarted Avast background service was stopped, this was before the Microsoft updates were reinstalled. Avast restarted within a minute or so, but I still did full system scans, including a boot scan. None of the scans (MB, Avast full system, Avast boot) found malware.
PC is still slower than normal, so thought I’d run the recommended scans here for your review just in case there is an issue. I’ve attached the logs. Let me know if there’s anything else needed, and thanks in advance for the help.
A follow up question, though. The PC came with WildTangent games preinstalled. The boot scan found 6 large files identified as decompression bombs, and it looks like they were related to WildTangent. I don’t use this, can I remove the program safely? A search of threads about decompression bombs found that it was generally best to leave them alone.
