adblocker.exe will and does work on IE8. Not needed on FF or Google Chrome if you use AdBlock Plus. AdBlock Plus will not run on IE8, so it is a needed add-on for IE8, it blocks annoying and malicious adverts appearing in the IE8 window at any site you visit. For comparison purposes, adblocker is installed on IE8, AdBlock Plus installed on FF or Chrome, same site with any of them will be virtually the same in appearance. Disabling adblocker and visiting the same site in IE8 could be an eye-popping experience. Same with FF or Chrome AdBlock Plus disabled.

adblocker.exe is a needed security layer tool for user protection; best application is for IE8.
