I’ve seen on a few different systems now: be it Intel or AMD; laptop or desktop; HDD or SSD; that if sleep mode is allowed to occur, Avast may get corrupted and fail to start services. I haven’t really found a fix for this; aside from disabling sleep, then clean remove + reinstall Avast.
We have had a problem on two machines now after installing BPP that the computer will no longer wake after being asleep.
I haven’t even paid for my subsciption yet; still on trial version, and I’ve had this happen to two laptops already.
Well, not really. My computer sleep twice a day and occasionally hibernates. I haven’t seen such a behavior. Any other security program that could be interfering?
hello,
I have the same problem with Avast Internet Security on Windows7. I have tested it in with the version 5 and 7…
If remove Avast the system resume from sleep correctly all the time.
When reinstall Avast the resume fail and the sistem hangs. An hard reset is needed.
Someone has a solution?
For me, the sleep/wake up is working perfectly, although much more slow than before. I’m not sure which driver is causing this slowness. Also, does anybody know a way to troubleshoot this slow process? (I mean, to discover which driver/service is causing it)? Thanks for any support.
