anythicago injecting malware in svchost.exe dll's

Hi all

Apologies for creating a new thread for what seems like a known problem, but as fixes seem to be PC specific, I thought keeping things in individual threads a better idea.

I’m also receiving a warning every time PC/Browser starts about anythingago.com (sometimes other addresses) attacking system dlls

I’m trying to clear out this particular PC but neither AV software, nor SpyBot S&D seems to be able to even find the malware let alone remove it.

From what I have read it’s a malicious entry in the registry, but I know enough about the registry to know that I don’t know enough to dive into regedit. So any assistance you can provide here would be brilliant, thanks!

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

[*]Close all open programs and internet browsers.
[*]Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
[*]Click on Scan.
[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
[*]Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
[*]You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S0].txt as well.

Thanks for the help both, I’ll note to look out for Hola on other systems in future.

Essexboy: cheers for the fix script. Attached are the fixlog and ADW’s log file as well.

After two reboots it looks like that did the trick. Will give it 24hrs to be sure.
