Anything wrong with this?

hxxps://www.domainedestrottieres.com/commande

Both ESET and BitDefender say “js/spy.banker.iv/trojan” found ; it is not based on “blacklist” but actually scanning the link.

Thanks!

Not sure why you are asking if there is anything wrong with this (in the Avast Forum), and what is scanning the link, you or some site ?

As neither of them detect it on virus total - https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/3f10d6c18d81740b3a562018667a8ea6bbef3c407c43047486f7b4f9fd5eefec?nocache=1

I am asking here because Avast! did not detect it. I also tried Kaspersky Free , which will detect it;
URL detection on VT is a static detection, based on a black list.

Are you actually using Avast and if so do you have another AV installed ?
If you have more than one AV installed at a time there is going to be a degree of conflict and one getting there first triggering an alert would prevent the second from scanning.

VT isn’t simply based on a blacklist, Just have a look at the the other Tabs, Details and Links to see it isn’t simply blacklist only.

Also based on your screen HEUR (heuristic not specific), plus Generic could well be an FP.

However there is nothing to stop you using the - Reporting a possible Malicious sample File or Website - https://www.avast.com/report-malicious-file.php form.

Are you actually using Avast

Yes, I am using Avast! but I read various forums; the issue appeared in this forum:

https://forum.eset.com/topic/35944-sspybankeriv-false-positive-or-true/

So, I tried the link in Avast! and nothing was detected.

I Uninstalled Avast! and used, Kaspersky Free, Bitdefender free, ESET trial; all of them detected the ling as malicious.

Simply follow David’s advice and report it.

Another one not detected by Avast!

There’s a link to a malicious / site in the code . Also there’s a heavily obfuscated JS (according to ESET)

Did you report it to Avast? Reporting it here does nothing toward getting it detected if it is truly malicious.

Did you report it to Avast?

No, not my job.
If Avast! wants to improve the detection rate and stay competitive, should visit the forum and get the sample by themselves.

Rather depends on on your point of view, you want clarification and the quickest way to report/resolve it and that is to use the dedicated report form links given (2 days ago).

Those who have responded are Avast users and not Avast team members.

you want clarification

I do not want clarification, I am pretty clear…Just wanted to inform Avast! about this. If they are interested , should collect the data from forum.

1st link obviously was a false positive
a recent scan at VT say clean

If you didn’t want clarification why bother to report (even in the forums) it in the first place ???

“If you didn’t want clarification why bother to report (even in the forums) it in the first place”

If you report a dead body to the police, this doesn’t mean you what to clarify who is dead and why he died…

@David,
After all these years, there are still those who are never satisfied.
They really aren’t looking for an answer just a place to complain. :slight_smile:

Which is why I won’t be wasting any more of my time, the options are there his choice what to do or not.

his choice what to do or not

You are right, and my choice is NOT to buy Avast! for my 2 PCs and 3 laptops.
