Used to be Netscape, but I think the latest is built on I.E.
mmmm. so it doesnāt really matter which one I use then, as they are both the same?

The latest build should have tabbed browsing which I.E. hasnāt, and also some other ānannyā features peculiar to AOLās style of web browsing. Personally I use Firefox. Iām not the best person to ask as Iāve never used AOL, just from what Iāve seen on other pcās.

AOL has always used IE. It uses all of IEās settings so the security is the same
They did play around for a while with using a mozilla based browser but ultimately stuck with IE.

That's actually strange considering they own Netscape. They where also the biggest complainer in the lawsuit agains MS.
mmmm the only way I can view the member flags is using IE, with AOL browser I can only see the map :-\

There must be something in the AOHELL browser settings, like the firefox option to block or display images that are not on the local website domain.

I donāt know what āmember flagsā is - but AOL does do itās own cacheing - so try to right click on the page in question and click ārefreshā
@Bob -
my opinion on why AOL doesnāt go mozilla based is that it is one less thing to support. And they can continue to say āsorry sir, your broswer has been hijacked because IE s*cksā ;D
Really, much of the AOL client content is delivered via Active x

toadbee,
I don't know what "member flags" is
Click on the āMEMBER MAPā button at the top of the screen, after you place your location (pin) on the map, it will display your flag near your name.
See here for better description: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=10436.0
Susz,
The problem will most likely lie in your AOHELL settings/options.

You can temporarily switch to the default theme and add your pin and revert to the theme of your choice.
For some strange reason it seems to be working with Aol browser now, I didnāt even alter anything

Actually the safest is IE out of the two but you want to avoid popups and getting hit by viruses that IE and AOL are always being attacked. One of the best browsers to use is firefox from mozilla.org.
