I’m considering coming back to Avast Internet Security after one year of absence. I installed the trial and I saw that AOS Firefox plugin does not support E10 Electrolysis and disables multiprocess in Firefox 50.1.0 64bit.
Are you going to update the plugin in the next few weeks?
Thanks, Simone
E10 Electrolysis takes place in a sandbox.
I don’t think AOS (or any other plug-in) can (or should) have access to it.
If anything (other then Firefox itself) can access the sandbox, it would defeat the purpose of it.
Are you saying that AOS will not support E10s? Don’t know about the software architecture under E10s but a Firefox security plugin from an Avast competitor fully support E10s since more than a couple of months
Could be AOS will act like a “man in the middle”.
If/when there will be a new version is unclear.
avast is very busy with the merger of AVG and avast.
They say a new avast version will be released at the end of this month.
If it also contains a update for AOS is something I do not know.
The release of a new version is also not certain as avast lately says one thing and then do another
It does, but many reported that it won’t install.
