If you protect against methods of attack rather than individual attackers, this is less of a moving target and theoretically could block unknown attackers, which use a regular method of infection, etc.

They are not trying to target every different variant malware/spyware/attack, etc. (the millions you talk of, slight exageration I think) but the method of infection, I’m sure that you understand that there will be less methods than individual attacks.

I don’t see how if you don’t read the facts how you can reasonably comment on it. It would be like trying to write a review on a product you have never used, just going on gut feelings.
