Hello,
I recently upgraded my PC from Windows 98SE to 2000. During the installation, the key which ran Avast on startup has been deleted. Is there any option I can check tu run Avast on startup or must I create new keys ? If I have to create new keys, what are they ?
Regards, François.

I recently upgraded my PC from Windows 98SE to 2000
2k or 2k server?
Was this a upgrade or a clean install?
What version of Avast?
Upgrading the OS requires, at least, the reparation of avast install (Control Panel > Add/Remove programs).
I suggest you uninstall/install again 8)

Just a little explanation: avast! uses a different set of files for Win9x and NT platform (e.g. the drivers are different for Win9x, Win2k, WinXP) - so, it’s not possible just to keep the existing avast! installation when upgrade Win98–>Win2k has been performed.
A reinstall should help, of course.
