Are all http-sites insecure and all https-sites secure, Google thinks so?

Google will slowly come to alert http-sites as insecure/unsafe.
But as I have noticed from security header insecurity https sites apart from certification aren’t that very secure either.
Are you goiug to trust a malcode launching site now because it infests you via a secured https connection.
Well the connection and communication is secure, and we earlier will know who is to blame?.
HTTPS means very little as to the security of a site.
Anyone to comment on the slow phasing out of the http protocol?

To start the discussion you should just have a look here: https://www.trustworthyinternet.org/ssl-pulse/
just 11% secure sites?

Seems like you’ve answered your own question. :slight_smile:

Personally I have never felt there is any real difference https doesn’t mean secure in all respects. Just because it’s https doesn’t mean it is secure - I would have thought google would have this sort of information to hand frol the google analytics snooping they do ;D

Before avast started scanning https traffic (OS dependant) I advised not using tools such as https everywhere as it stopped avast scanning content.

@bob3160,

Well that might be so, but it is important that more users here are aware ,
that just a green padlock isn’t a full guarantee to a secure Internet website.

From what I am doing here in the virus and worms on a daily basis I know better.

I am only afraid that some unaware “happy go lucky clickers” might still get themselves infested.
That is why it is so hard to come to a somewhat more secure Internet.

So what I advise all is have avast with all the shields up, pre-scan unknown links and watch your clicks even on https.

@DavidR,
Agree with you here, that there could be an additional hidden agenda for their https-propaganda effort -
Could it be hidden ad-tracking/user profiling?- just a guess. ;D
