Are these false positives.

I’ve encountered the following error messages when i boot up my system.
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\p…
infection: IDP.ALEXA.61 AND

C:\windows\system32\mshta.exe
infection: IDP.GENERIC

My system is Windows 7, 64bit, Avast network security, Malwareytes Pro, CCleaner

When I run Avast, Malware bytes, and CCleaner nothing shows up as bad, at least to me.

Are they bad and if so how can I get rid of them.

Thanks, hhandy

hi hhandy,

Welcome to the forums.

IDP.ALEXA.61 appears to be an AVG detection as does IDP.GENERIC.

Avast network security not a known product, at least not here. Do you mean Avast Internet Security?

Yes, I was talking about Avast Internet Security

OK.

Now you’ve to run a couple of diagnostic programs and wait for a malware expert to work with you.

Attach your basic diagnostic logs. (MBAM, FRST)

Yes; please post the FRST logs and the MBAM log.

Hello,
send us the detected file through https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Milos

 I ran ‘Malwarebytes anti-rootkit tool’ and that seems to have gotten rid of the problem. I’ve done several scans since and it appears my system is clean now.

Can you post the MBAR logs for review?
