ashCmd /X= command line switch

I’m new here and currently evaluating the Pro version. I noticed it has a Command Line scanner (ashCmd.exe) but the documentation for this appears to be lacking.

/X= (or --virustypes)
Sets specific malware types that should be detected (types not detected by default)

But what values can be used here? I want all malware types to be detected, not just the default ones. I checked the quick-start guide as well, but I could not find any further information. Is there a more complete guide available that would list all the virustype values?

You forgot to check the website

Hi Eddy,

Thanks for the reply, but the link you provided only lists the command line switches for the Avast! setup program.
I am looking for the command line switches for the Console mode scanner named ashCmd.exe. In particular, I am looking for information on the /X={value} switch, as I could not find a list of supported values.

start > run > cmd [enter] > go to the avast folder > ashcmd.exe /?

Only the one option mentioned in /? output and help (/X=P) is currently available.

Thank you Igor! This answers my question.
