ashServ.exe just crashed on my brand new system (fresh installation of Windows XP Professional SP2, all updates, all essential applications installed) when I tried to restart my system. It happened just one time, and we all know how many times we have to restart our systems during installation of new hardware and/or new programs… :
It was very very quick, so I couldn’t catch whole message, but I remember it was something regarding - …couldn’t write memory 0x000000 blah, blah…
Just wanted to let Alwil know that ashServ.exe crashed… everything else works flawless, except that little issue. I repeat, it happened just once and never again…
avast! program update 4.6.623, latest VPS - ZoneAlarm freeware installed.
Am I overlooking something here ? I thought beta releases would be announced in Beta section of this forum…
EDIT: Oh, I get it now… Vlk just changes the name of the topic to 4.6.635, not contents of the thread… I was expecting some announcement in Beta section though… doesn’t matter, as long as it’s working…
bob… if ya go read thru that thread that Technical posted you’ll find out about it there.
I gotta admit something here. I usually find out about new releases very late as its not that easy to find out about them here. Usually I only find out because I see someone post a link about it (like the one I posted) and thats how I found out to begin with. Then I went searching to help SZC and Ill be darned if I could find the darned thing at first…
Not a complaint here guys but maybe need a little better organization for announcements?
