assault, armed robbery

Hi my Samsung J5 was taken by assault, armed robbery Thursday 14/1/2016 at 10:30 am, and even now I can not send any commands. What should I do?

Please send in details’m layman in computer science.

There is nothing you can do.
The commands timed out.
Most likely because the phone is turned off.
You can’t watch a program on tv if the tv is turned off

If you haven’t done so already :

  • Go to the police and have them record the theft providing every information you have about the phone.
  • Contact your provider and have them block the imei number.

You can also use SMS commands.

Will the commands work once the phone is switched on?

As I said, commands will only work if the phone can receive them (= turned on).
The will not work (as far as I know) if the sim card has been replaced.

The police (together with the providers) can track phones by their imei number.

Sure, they’ll work. You get a SMS to the friends phone or can check in the account if a new SIM is entered.
