Assistance please: New User receiving error message when connectingT

I recently purchased the Avast Secureline VPN & it was operating perfectly until today. Now when I attempt to connect I receive the following error–> “The negotiation with the VPN server failed. Verify the server address & try reconnecting”

Can anyone offer assistance please?
