Aswclnr has caused an error in USER.EXE

Hi,

I tried to use the “avast! Virus Cleaner”, but when I open the program, I got this message “Aswclnr has caused an error in USER.EXE”
Does anybody had the same problem before?
Does anybody know what should I do?

You get this error even before the program starts? Or does the window appear?

What operating system do you use?

Yeah, when I double click the file “aswclnr.exe”, then I received this msg.
I used Win ME 4.90.3000

Just for sure… what is the length of the aswClnr.exe file?

Hmm, it’s correct… I’ve never heard of such a problem.
What is the exact error message (including the detailed info, if available)? Is avast! Virus Cleaner the only program giving you this error?
