It didn’t do this in the beta but now I get random bsods pointing to Driver_Irql_Not Less than or equal too (ASWnet.sys) any ideas OH yes and the version yesterday did it and the new one released today as well.
Hmm, i got the same thing to, so maybe it’s a bug in the software? Maybe its not compatible with Windows 8 kernal?
hi, i have the same problem…
I seem to have been hit by the same issue. As if starting out on a new OS isn’t hard enough, disable virus scanner? Yikes.
You need to be on version 7.0.1473, which was released today. I had the same error until I upgraded to the version listed.
Error continues on that client version, fresh download
for me too, new version didn’t solve the problem…
same here new version didn’t work either
Hi guys.
Avast! always interested in BSOD dumps. If you have the latest send it to ftp://ftp.avast.com
Or Start > Run; Copy/paste " explorer ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming " without quotes. Drag dump file into the ftb window.
Look for the latest minidump in C:\WINDOWS\Minidump or in C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Do not know what kind of dump W8 generates.
Compress it with ZIP, RAR or 7Zip and give it an original name. It will also be a good idea to include a text (use notepad) with your Forum e-mail and URL of this post.
Come back here and report what name you gave to the dump.
My zip file is named androidappme
Please check it
I have also had 3 crashes today when someone else was using the laptop…Unfortunately Ccleaner has been taking the dumps off…I will try re-producing it tomorrow and upload it to avast…surely i didnt have such BSOD’s earlier to this version.
Anyways,here is what it says:
the computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0x86213000, 0x86213328, 0x08650000)
I will try and reproduce the crash again [If I can] and upload the dumps for you guys
Hi! my file is named benja1.zip ; since I have the problem, my system rebooted 14 times >:(
Mine is up, username should be obvious
Same issue. Search results point to Avast and I only installed the latest version yesterday.
I’ve had to disable it and rely on MS Defender until you get this sorted out. Hopefully that won’t be long.
I had the same problem after installing avast free to win8 two days ago. "driver_irql not less or eqal (ndis.sys). Bluescreen occured several times, after removing avast it is OK. I uploaded minidump ndis.sys (p6qwre). Please let us know after you fix it, I would like to continue using Avast.
Any news?
ASWnet.sys memory dump.zip uploaded to the incoming directory…
Not happy with a crashing antivirus…
You may wish to visit this thread http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=107886.msg858781#msg858781 and try the patched driver to see if it helps.
Dump memory of avast sent, together with the notebook, but no dump windows … = /
Same BSoD on W8 x64.
Uploaded dmp zip: 11042012MINIDUMPYAY
