ASWRVRT.STS - another new twist?!

Essexboy,

This is a follow on from a thread I created on 7th May this year. A quick summary might help:

  • ACER laptop wasn’t booting and got stuck at aswrvrt.sys
  • You kindly talked me through setting up the Reatogo desktop and getting the Acer to boot to from a USB
  • I was supposed to run FSRT but didn’t because I was busy recovering the files from the sick Acer

I’ve now run FSRT and created the log file. Apologies but I couldn’t see how to attach it to a message so I’ve pasted it below:

OK from the reatogo desktop access the command prompt and enter the following, on completion reboot to normal windows :

chkdsk c: /r

Thanks Essexboy (and Pondus!). I’m at work at the minute but will try to do this later today.

Many thanks

D

Essexboy,

Chkdsk worked a treat! I now have a fully working laptop again.

Thanks so much for your help (and that of your colleagues).

Cheers

D

Glad to hear that
