aswRvrt.sys at failed W7 boot

I am asking for help,please
I am writhing this on a 2nd computer,as the crashed comp cannot fct.I read past files re this bug and they required loading, running of files as well as sending log files of procedures
I -at this level, dont know how do do that As the computer does not boot,so I cannot load, run, copy
I tried to fix this with EaseUSTodo vers 6.5 as I have a “system backup” on an external HD
ALAS how do you boot, fix a booting problem from an external file when you cannot boot Windows?:>
I am looking for a fix without the need for a fresh windows reinstall
afraid to loose some file etc, also takes days to find and load all drivers, updates etc
Have not seen a slipstream for W7 yet

So here the guts:
running W7 64
When pushing F8 I get the various Safe Mode choices" none leading to a W load
with command prompt at least I get some details:
it runs loading drivers, last one aswRvrt.sys and hangs for good.this is a AVAST fie I read

how do I proceed best?
many thnx up front for a hopefully worked out scheme by now

Download the following three programmes to your desktop :

  1. Rufus

2. Windows 7 64bit RC I will PM this link
3. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64

Essexboy
I think you have been helping a ton of folks ,for which you should be proud of
thank you for summarizing what hopefully works to get the puter back
Lots of material to digest for me
If I may though question an issue that surprises me:
downloading the rc file from your PM
I get 2 programs that are questionable Malware or viruses, and another 4 viruses
all now sitting in quarantine
and of course inacessible

what do you make of it?
thnx

The dropbox link was for a pristine copy of the recovery console, which I have just rescanned with Avast.

I have just downloaded Rufus and FRST from my links and Avast scans them as clean

What programme is giving an alert on them

Thnx Essexboy

sorry for the delay in answer, been out of town
I used /have loaded Avira virus prg on this 2nd computer
The :viruses" were ADWAR type, so apparenty no true viruses but flagged ,ended up deleted from the disk
will now start the recommended FARBAR procedure

ok,THNX FOR STAYING WITH ME
LONG AFTERNOON BUT FINALLY GRASPED THE ROUTINE
attached the FRST log file from the patient

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Savethe attached fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion try a reboot to normal mode
