Hello!

Thanks for your answer!
It might not be the CPU.
I copied another Linux version, called Knoppix, on a bootable stick and removed the hard drive before trying to boot.
It worked!
Knoppix was running fine and I could use the computer.
Then I turned the computer off. Put the hard-drive back in place and tried to boot again from the stick (Bios first boot option:usb).
It would result like the other tries booting OPLT or Ubuntu from USB: The Knoppix system initiates booting, but turns of after a few seconds.
Then I removed the hard drive again, tried to boot again from the USB, but even now the boot would stop after a few seconds.
Do you think it is possible that the harddrive transmits a malware direct on any stick plugged in, in order to make it unbootable?
Afraid to plugin the stick in my other linux computer now, in order to see if there is any malware on it to be found.
I might even destroy this backup computer.

Any ideas? I have never come across anything like this.
I would highly appreciate any leads

Thank you!

Andre
