Hi Avast forum

I’m having the same problem with aswrvrt.sys as others pointed out in the forum and need some help. I wanted to generate the FRST.log file however i can’t boot to a command prompt

Reading essexboy’s previous post (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=120531.msg923601#msg923601) i need to run the windows 7 (64bit) recovery cd. However the links have expired

Can someone post the win 7 64bit RC so i can run the FRST tool?

Thank you!

Follow this topic and the part If you cannot boot

Thanks for replying TwinHeadedEagle. I downloaded OTLPENet.exe and saved the OTLPE_New_Net.iso to another location on my spare computer. I then ran Rufus so i could copy the iso to a usb because i dont have a CD device on the laptop

When i booted the usb, the computer didnt recognise it. I’ve tried the usb with an ubuntu usb which works fine so my BIOS settings are correct to boot from usb

What steps can i take from booting from usb?

Many thanks

Just copy FRST to USB and then run it…
