aswSODBC.dll error in event log with MSI package

Hi,

I was browsing through the Windows XP SP3 event logs and I noticed a string [6 or 7] of error like this one [but different entry points] occurring every 7 to 15 minutes. I stalled with a MSI package [see my other post]. Uninstallation and reinstallation didn’t help.

Entry point _dbsDeleteSnapshot@12 not found in module C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\aswSODBC.dll.

Ideas what this is? Event ID #90.

Interesting. I did a search using the site’s search engine for “aswSODBC.dl” and got no solutions.

Yet I googled the same name and Google found something on this site.

According to the link, I need to change “Database=ODBC” to “Database=SQLT”.

Haven’t tried but looks like I need to do it in safe mode.
