aswSP.sys problem

Hi everyone, I have a strange issue which I think it’s caused by Avast. I’ve installed a SATA3 PCI card on my motherboard and installed relative drivers, now when I go to devices manager, I see PCI card and I click “drivers details”, my Windows 7 64-bit crashes showing me a blue screen with some codes and a aswSP.sys error report. Now it’s not a big problem because I haven’t connected devices to the PCI card yet, but I’ll see when I connect a hard disk. I hope that there won’t be problems.

A minidump (corresponding to the bluescreen) should be created in C:\Windows\Minidump folder.
Can you please upload that minidump to ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming ?
Thanks.

Ok I’ve uploaded it with name Shady Cent.dmp

The crash happens when I click “Dettagli driver” (drivers details)

It seems to be avast! 7.0.1426, right?
First I would suggest to update to 7.0.1456… the problem might already be fixed there.

OK I’ve updated and now windows doesn’t crashes, thanks. But Avast hasn’t notified about the update, although in settings I’ve ticked “Ask me when a software update is avaiable”…
